The bible encompasses many stories of unjust men that in fact did very justly acts based on the faith and prayer of the believers. In society today, we spend way too much time upright talking about men and the deeds of men rather then on our knees where we can make an impact in changing a person's heart and the world situation.
The power of prayer cannot be under estimated. Jesus prayed on the cross even for those who were part of His crucifixion. This example leaves us with a Powerful truth; if the Lord of Lord's, King of Kings, the Son of the Living God's last act was prayer before He gave up the ghost, the act of prayer must be and is a powerful tool very under utilized today. The good news is; God raised Jesus from the dead and sat Him at the right hand of God the Father with all Power in His hands.
Jesus understands the power of prayer. We perform the act of prayer without truly understanding its POWER. Prayer can take something dead and breathe life back into it. Think about it, something lifeless can live again. It all sounds impossible but the bible says what is impossible with man is possible with God. Amen.
If you apply this simple truth today, we should not worry (but need to be aware) about what's going on in Washington, DC because "Prayer TRUMPS the actions of men". God has demonstrated He has the Power to rule over rulers and that His will always prevails; I'm sure he can handle the men in Washington, DC. Our responsibility is to pray for those in need of prayer that hearts change, actions change so that the situation will get better. Let God handle how He will rectify the situation. Be faithful and remember the example of Jesus. Amen
